We pride ourselves on supporting our community & our environment. By purchasing a second hand part you are not only saving alot of money but you are also recycling parts.

This will slow down the production of new parts which uses up many of the earths valuable resources, plus the polution that is created in both the manufacturing & transport of these parts.

Bay of Plenty autos has full resoucre consents from Enviroment Bay Of Plenty for both our waste water & our trade storm water. This means our buisness operates to its full potential in doing  everything we can to ensure we reduce any un-needed polution.

Dismantling Procedure:

Once a vehicle comes in the first thing we do is run it up & test as much of the mechanical & electrical components as we can to ensure that we aren't selling you faulty parts (unfortunetly not all parts can be guaranteed to be free of defects but we do offer a warranty on all parts sold).
Once the vehicle has been run up it goes onto the hoist where all fluids are drained (in doors) all oils are put into holding drums for refinig, water is put into our waste water where it is filltered buy 3 under ground seperators, A/C gas is removed by a specialst & the petrol is put into company vehicles. 

From there all the valuable parts are removed from the vehicle all engines & transmissions are removed weather they are dead or alive. Good engines & transmissions are clean & stored in side all dead ones are put into our recycling bins for pick up.

All other metals on the vechicle that have no value to us are seperated & put into our recycling bins, tyres are stored until they get taken away for recycling.
 Removing the Motor
If the vehicle is of value to us it is then taken outside to be stored in our yard all other cars are taken to "CMA" a large metal recycler where all the remaing non recyclables i.e interior is removed so the shells can be crushed get melted down and used again.

NOTE: Although we sell new parts as well we will always offer you 2nd hand parts first. We only stock new parts if second hand ones are hard to get.
